The features of the Power Plant Spring Support.

Power Plant Spring Support (divided into two types: variable force and constant force. Suitable for both thermal power and thermal power generation, compliant with ASME B31.1 and SH/T3073)

General Common Features

Strong adaptability to working conditions

Suitable for high-temperature and high-pressure pipelines such as main steam, reheated steam, feedwater, and condensate water of boilers (up to 550℃ and 16MPa+), capable of withstanding repeated cold-hot temperature changes and expansions, taking into account self-weight, medium, and insulation weight.

Well-defined load classification

Wide range of load specifications: small load DN25 small pipe weighs 50kg, large-diameter main pipelines with heavy loads can reach tens of tons, divided into light, medium, and heavy load series.

High safety redundancy

Spring safety factor ≥ 1.5, high-temperature alloy steel springs resist high-temperature creep and fatigue, suitable for the annual continuous start-stop cycles of power plants.

Standardized and modular structure

Standardized tube springs, basket springs, constant suspension assemblies, matching U-shaped pipe clamps, heat-insulating pipe supports, suspension rods, and threaded adjustment components, facilitating on-site assembly.

Grade-based corrosion protection configuration

C3 corrosion protection for indoor boiler rooms, C4/C5 heavy corrosion protection for outdoor furnace tops / induced draft fans pipelines (sandblasting + zinc-rich primer + topcoat).

Variable Spring Support (The most widely used in power plants)

Compact structure, low cost, small installation area. It is the preferred choice for medium and short displacement pipelines with vertical thermal displacement ≤ 25mm and load variation ≤ 25%.

It comes with load scale (Cold/Hot), locking pins, cold state locking, water pressure test protection, and unlocking upon heating.The cold state installation load can be fine-tuned through the adjustable nut.

Limitations

It cannot be used if the thermal displacement of the pipeline is too large or the load fluctuation exceeds 25%. Otherwise, the additional stress at the pipe opening will exceed the limit.

Applications: Medium and low pressure water supply, drainage and discharge, flue gas accessory small pipes, and secondary auxiliary machine pipelines.

Constant Spring Hanger (Constant Spring Suspension Hanger, Special for Key Pipelines in Power Plants)

Constant full stroke load (fluctuation ≤ ±6%), large displacement, large load, standard for key pipe openings of turbine / boiler header;

Large stroke range (50 - 500mm), capable of coping with significant thermal elongation of main steam and reheated steam pipes, protecting equipment flanges from leakage and pipe openings from tearing;

Lever cam structure, small spring deformation, resistant to high-temperature fatigue, longer service life in harsh high-temperature environment at the furnace top.

Applications: Boiler header outlet pipes, main steam pipes, reheated steam pipes, inlet and outlet pipelines of turbine.

Special Features for Power Plant Use

Temperature tolerance during start-up and shutdown: During sudden temperature changes during start-up and shutdown of the unit, the springs are repeatedly compressed and stretched. High-temperature resistant spring steel 50CrVA is selected to prevent thermal relaxation failure;

Anti-vibration design: The vibration pipelines at the inlet and outlet of the fan and water pump are equipped with limit brackets to avoid lateral force imbalance on the springs;

Complementary heat insulation components: Standardized heat insulation pipe supports are provided for high-temperature pipelines to prevent heat conduction and damage to the coating of the hangers and springs;

Operation and maintenance specifications: During major maintenance of the unit, the pointer positions are checked one by one. If the deviation exceeds the limit, the settings are reset or the supports and hangers are replaced.
